Complaint
Description: On June 18, 2023, plaintiff was approached by defendant officers, including Officer Paul Tambe, without just or probable cause. Defendant-officers stopped, assaulted, handcuffed, seized, and arrested plaintiff. Defendant-officers exhibited excessive force through the process of stopping and arresting plaintiff. Defendant-officers were acting pursuant to the City of New York and NYPD's "Stop, Question, and Frisk" policy. As a result of defendants' conduct, plaintiff sustained painful and permanent bodily injuries. Plaintiff was detained for over 24 hours. All charges brought against plaintiff were terminated in plaintiffs' favor.
