Complaint
Description: On October 15, 2018, Plaintiff was lawfully inside his apartment at 671 Westchester Avenue, Bronx, when Defendant police officers unlawfully entered and searched the apartment without probable cause or legal justification. Plaintiff began recording the officers' actions on his phone. In response, the officers slapped the phone out of his hands and used excessive force by grabbing him, throwing him to the ground, kicking and punching him, and ripping out his hair, causing serious physical injuries. Plaintiff was transported to Lincoln Hospital for treatment. After being discharged from the hospital on the same day, Plaintiff was taken to the 40th Precinct and later to Central Booking.
