Complaint
Description: On April 12, 2015, Officer Melesa Roschmann, along with unnamed officers, assaulted, battered, and arrested the Plaintiff without probable cause, a warrant, or a belief that the Plaintiff had committed a crime. While in police custody, the Plaintiff was interrogated without being read his Miranda rights and was denied permission to make a phone call. A criminal proceeding was initiated against the Plaintiff based on false and incomplete information, but all charges were ultimately dismissed. As a result of the Defendants’ actions, the Plaintiff sustained physical and mental pain, humiliation, mental anguish, and frustration.
