Complaint
Description: On or about July 10, 2019 at approximately 6:00PM in the vicinity of East 174 Street and Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY, Plaintiff was walking with her boyfriend when NYPD Officer Joshua Rodriguez, Sergeant Matthew Vantress, and other NYPD officers grabbed Plaintiff's boyfriend, threw him against a wall and arrested him. Plaintiff asked why her boyfriend was being arrested, when the officers pinned her arm behind her back and arrested her as well. The officers then took Plaintiff to the precinct where they strip searched her, before taking her to Central Booking and Bronx County Criminal Court, where she was falsely charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia.
