Description: On July 24, 2021, multiple NYPD members unlawfully assaulted, seized, battered and arrested Plaintiff (they/them), using unreasonable and excessive force. Two unnamed officers tackled Plaintiff to the ground, picked them up and then slammed them into a police van. The officers then applied excessively tight handcuffs to Plaintiff's wrists and refused to loosen them even after Plaintiff informed the officers that the handcuffs were too tight. At the precinct, Plaintiff complained of the excessively tight handcuffs again, and police responded by handcuffing them to a bench for 17 hours.
