Description: On June 21, 2020, at approximately 9:30 PM, Plaintiff's decedent was at his home in Whitestone, New York, when multiple NYPD officers from the 109th Precinct arrived and banged on the door, demanding entry. The decedent refused to let the officers in. When decedent eventually opened his door but kept the screen door shut, officers forcibly broke it down and physically attacked him. Multiple officers beat the decedent and deployed tasers on him multiple times. The officers threw him to the ground and applied excessive pressure to his body, restricting his airway. Despite the decedent's dire medical situation resulting from the assault, officers did not provide medical aid. The decedent ultimately went into card...
