Description: On October 10, 2018, at 77 Tompkins Avenue, Apartment 10G Plaintiffs were at their home when police officers unlawfully entered and searched the apartment. Plaintiffs were arrested for possession of marijuana and an air pistol. Plaintiffs did not possess marijuana or an air pistol. None were recovered on or near their persons, or inside the apartment. At the precinct, Raymond Anderson, Sharon Anderson, and Tatyana Anderson were declined to prosecute and released from the precinct. At arraignment, Anthony Anderson received an ACD. Description: On April 2, 2019, Calvin Bharath ("Plaintiff") was unlawfully stopped, questioned, and arrested by Officer Peter Ramos and Sergeant Jack Wu and Officers John Doe 1-10 ("Defendants"), while lawfully standing in front of his building. The Defendants falsely claimed that the Plaintiff's vehicle had excessive window tint, but provided no legitimate grounds for the stop. During the stop, the Plaintiff was questionned, frisked, forcibly handcuffed without grounds for arrest, unlawfully searched, and subjected to a strip search at the Precinct despite requests for accommodations based on his faith.
