Description: On May 6, 2023, plaintiff was within a NYCHA building where she lived with her grandmother. Plaintiff was sitting on a stairway when she was approached by defendant NYPD Officers John Doe 1–5. Plaintiff stood up to leave when she saw them approach, and two officers ordered her to go up to the roof. When she declined and moved to go downstairs to her apartment, defendants pushed her, causing her to slip on the stairs. Defendants then cornered plaintiff, handcuffing her excessively tightly, and then dragging her across the floor by the handcuffs, causing her to become partially unclothed in front of her family and neighbors.
