Description: On June 24, 2021, plaintiff Pedro Johnson was leaving his apartment to purchase food, when defendant police officers unlawfully detained and arrested him without legal justification. While he was walking, defendant police officers exited a vehicle and approached him. They grabbed him and told him to put his hand on the van. Being handcuffed, he was tossed into the van, without probable cause. Police officers gave District Attorney false, misleading, and incomplete information that plaintiff was engaged in the possession of weapon. Plaintiff was also pepper sprayed four times in one day because of a fight between other inmates. Therefore, he suffered permanent injury and can no longer smell.
