Complaint
Description: On February 3, 2022, police officers of the NYPD illegally broke down the door of Tawana Benjamin's apartment, claiming that they had an arrest warrant for the father of Tawana Benjamin's daughter, Saalik Jackson, who happened to be present at the apartment that evening. It should be noted that Mr. Jackson does not live in Ms. Benjamin's apartment, and was not on any paperwork related to the apartment. The NYPD officers, named in the complaint as John Doe and Jane Doe #1-10, entered without a search warrant, making their entry illegal.
