Description: On April 11, 2022, Plaintiffs Eduardo Andrade and Barbara Cortez were lawfully inside their home at 31-63 33rd Street in Queens when NYPD officers assaulted and battered them without cause. Officers grabbed Ms. Cortez by the wrist and shirt, causing physical injury, and attempted to drag her out of the apartment. Officer Campbell shot Mr. Andrade seven times in the testicles and thigh and then tased him in the testicles. The officers restrained him with tight handcuffs and conducted an unlawful pat-down search, despite the Plaintiffs not resisting arrest.
