Description: On or about March 23, 2018 at approximately 3:50 AM, plaintiff was present in the vicinity of 10 Sackman Street of the borough of Brooklyn. Police officer William Pugliese and unidentified police officers (John and Jane Doe 1-10) approached plaintiff wherein they handcuffed and arrested the plaintiff. Plaintiff was then transferred to the 67th Precinct, where he was the subject of a search. Subsequently, plaintiff was transferred to central booking where he stayed for a few days until his arraignment. After a few more days, the plaintiff was released from custody. Charges against plaintiff were dismissed in their entirety.

Description: On June 13, 2017, defendant-NYPD officers, including Officers William Pugliese and Joseph Calabrese, without probable cause or a warrant, forcibly stopped plaintiff's vehicle, drew a firearm and pointed it at the plaintiff, and forcibly removed the plaintiff from his vehicle. Thereafter, the defendant-NYPD officers grabbed plaintiff around his neck and by his arm, slammed the plaintiff against the vehicle, and proceeded to search the plaintiff. Defendants then forcibly handcuffed the plaintiff, and detained him inside their police vehicle. Officers witnessing the encounter failed to intervene to prevent or stop the these actions, despite reasonable opportunity to intervene.
