Complaint
Description: On August 7, 2017, plaintiff was arrested by defendant POs Reuben Shaw and John and Jane Doe 1-12 for attempted murder and assault as well as the criminal possession of a weapon relating to an incident that occurred on August 3, 2017. On said day, plaintiff was threatened with a gun by an individual who later sustained what could have only been an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. There was no evidence that plaintiff ever possessed a weapon or made any threats to that individual. As a result of his arrest, plaintiff was incarcerated for approximately 1.5 years. Plaintiff was later acquitted of all charges by a jury.
