Description: On January 4, 2018, Plaintiff was lawfully driving his brother’s car when P.O.s Cannizzaro and Baldares illegally pulled him over. The officers approached Plaintiff’s vehicle and ordered him to step out with no legal basis for doing so. Plaintiff and his vehicle were illegally searched. P.O. Cannizzarro falsely claimed that he recovered an illegal “billy club” from Plaintiff’s driver’s side door and P.O. Baldares falsely claimed he had recovered an illegal “large fixed blade knife” from underneath the back seat. The “billy club” was in fact a small baseball bat, which is not a per se illegal weapon. The officers arrested Plaintiff for alleged possession of the “weapons,” applying handcuffs with excessive force...

Description: Plaintiff was walking with a friend when he noticed an unmarked police car circling the block. The defendants parked the car in front of the plaintiff. Defendant P.O. Cannizzaro was not happy with the plaintiff refused to let him have his cup of juice so he grabbed the cup, smelled it, and tossed it on the grass. P.O. Taveras watched from a few feet away. Defendant Cannizzaro responded to the plaintiff asking if he had the right to seize his cup by asking for ID. Plaintiff's friend asked the defendants for their identities but they refused to give it. After fifteen minutes, the defendants drove off, but not before the plaintiff's friend could snap a picture of the car's license plate.
