Description: On January 1, 2014, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Plaintiff was lawfully present outside of an in the vicinity of Café Omar in Brooklyn. Plaintiff was celebrating New Year’s with her friends when a large fight broke out in a part of the bar. Plaintiff and her friends complied with instructions given by employees of the bar to exit the building. Upon exiting, Plaintiff observed many NYPD officers in front of the bar. Shortly after exiting, Plaintiff was tackled from behind and placed in a bear hug by a male officer, for no apparent reason or legal basis.
