Description: At the instruction of Defendant police officers, Plaintiff voluntarily reported to the 41st precinct on July 29, 2019, to discuss an incident that occurred on April 8, 2019. Upon arrival, Defendant officers unlawfully stopped, questioned, frisked, searched, handcuffed, and arrested Plaintiff without legal justification or probable cause. The officers interrogated Plaintiff about the April 8 incident, despite knowing he had no involvement and was never identified or accused by anyone related to it. Plaintiff was then transported to Bronx Central Booking and held in custody for approximately 24 hours before the DA’s Office declined to prosecute him on July 30, 2019, leading to his release.
