Complaint
Description: On January 20, 2023, Plaintiff, then 17 years old, was lawfully in the vicinity of the Lincoln Houses complex in Harlem when he was unlawfully detained, searched, and arrested by NYPD officers Bryan Wilson, Luis Linares, Matthew Ornstein, Shahzeb Ahmed, and other unidentified officers. The arrest occurred after Plaintiff merely "locked eyes" with one of the officers and turned away while walking home. Following the arrest, Plaintiff was detained at the 25th Precinct and later at Central Booking. The officers involved provided false testimony and evidence to justify the arrest, leading to Plaintiff’s prosecution in a case against Plaintiff.
