Description: On March 6, 2012, Plaintiff GR (5 years old) was having some difficulties at school so his family was called to help calm him. GR's grandmother arrived and saw NYPD Officers pulling, grabbing, and dragging GR with unnecessary force. GR's grandmother approached in order to calm GR but was propelled down the stairs by an NYPD Officer and handcuffed. GR's mother and grandmother urged the school to release GR into their custody but were refused by NYPD Officers who insisted on forcibly taking him to a hospital. GR's great grandmother entered the ambulance to accompany GR but was propelled out of the vehicle by an NYPD Officer, causing her to fall to the pavement with a broken rib.
