Complaint
Description: The plaintiff was living in a 3/4 home that did not allow residents, so when he went inside to get something his fiancÈ sat outside on the stoop. When they walked away from the residence the defendant officers stopped them and searched both the plaintiff and his fiancÈ. The officers found nothing on the plaintiff, but found a bag of heroin on his fiancÈ. They both were transported to a nearby precinct and despite the lack of evidence, the plaintiff was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and after several court appearances it finally was dismissed.

Complaint
Description: Plaintiff was stopped by Defendant Officers (Ortiz and Gonzalez) on May 5th, 2015 while he was walking with his fiancÈ and friend. Plaintiff was searched and detained unlawfully and reported this incident to the CCRB and IAB. A week later on May 13, 2015, Plaintiff was stopped by Defendant Officers Reyna and Ramos. They stopped and searched the Plaintiff again and looked inside his pants. Defendant Officers Gonzalez and Ortiz then appeared and searched Plaintiffs backpack. They found his medicine and took out the pills and accused Plaintiff of selling those pills to a stranger on the street. Plaintiff was then arrested and transferred to Rikers for six days. All charges were later dismissed.
