Complaint
Description: On September 3 2022, the Plaintiff was falsely arrested without probable cause by NYPD Detective Nicholas Doran, NYPD Officer Michael Kranz, David Black, and John Does. The Plaintiff was taken to the Precinct and placed in a holding cell where he was attacked and assaulted by the Officers. His injuries for the assault required medical attention. The Plaintiff was then taken to Central Booking and arraigned on September 5 2022, more than the 24 hour detention period. The Plaintiff was released from custody on September 9 2022. The District Attorney moved to dismiss all charges on February 15 2023 due to lack of evidence after initiating a malicious prosecution knowing there was not enough evidence.
