Description: On September 6, 2012, the Plaintiff was with his two friends on the street when several NYPD Officers, including Defendant Officer Michael Santaniello (Shield no. 22534) approached them. The Plaintiff's friends departed when the officers approached. Without probable cause or reasonable suspicion, the Defendants ID'd the Plaintiff. He complied. The Plaintiff was placed in handcuffs and under arrest, and transported to the local precinct. At the precinct, the Defendants falsely informed the DA that the Plaintiff was observed loitering for the purpose of gambling, despite having observed no evidence of the same. The Plaintiff was transported to Central Booking. At the Plaintiff's arraignment, the criminal charges...
