Description: On July 5, 2014, plaintiff Pietila was lawfully 5th Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, when he was unlawfully and without just cause, approached, accosted, and assaulted by the aforementioned defendant officers as they believed he was recording the police arrest and violent treatment of another person. Plaintiff's nose was broken in the assault. Plaintiff was wrongfully incarcerated for 24 hours and prosecuted in Kings County Criminal Court under false charges. On September 9, 2014 the underlying criminal action was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. On July 5, 2014, plaintiff Morales was lawfully 5th Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, when police defendants assaulted her because she had protested the beating of plaintiff Piet...
