Description: On July 6, 2014 at approximately 4:00 pm. Plaintiff was lawfully inside her girlfriend's apartment at 1253 Commonwealth Avenue in the Bronx. The girlfriend was depressed and tried to commit suicide by taking too many prescription pills and then called 911 and asked for an ambulance to come to her home. Then defendant NYPD officers came to the apartment and the officers and EMS spoke to the girlfriend and gave medical treatment. Plaintiff then tried to leave the apartment but then police officers grabbed plaintiff and put in an illegal choke hold causing Plaintiff to lose consciousness for a few minutes.
