Description: On December 31, 2019, plaintiff Steven Dominguez attended a New Year's Eve celebration at a private event space in Brooklyn. A scuffle broke out at the event and an unidentified person slashed plaintiff's face with a knife, leaving a large cash on plaintiff's right cheek. When the police arrived, despite plaintiff's girlfriend and a friend of plaintiff's identifying the attacker, the police did not question the attacker and allowed him to get in a car and rive away. The police, including defendants (Officers Joseph Battista, Dylan Lynch, and Patrick Lynch, and Detectives Evan Nielsen and Patrick Graney) aggressively questioned plaintiff as he was lying on the ground bleeding from his head.
