Description: On September 29, 2020, Plaintiff engaged in a lawful protest on the sidewalk outside the New York City Office of the New York State Governor when Defendant Officers announced their intention to clear the area of protesters. Before Plaintiff had any opportunity to comply the Officers’ orders, Defendant Officers, including Office Jeanneti, grabbed Plaintiff and forcefully took her on the ground, physically seizing and arresting her. Plaintiff’s head was struck in the course of her seizure. Plaintiff was arrested and placed in an NYPD prisoner van and as a result of her head injury, Plaintiff passed out in the NYPD prisoner van and suffered a seizure. Plaintiff was taken to a hospital and evaluated for head trauma...
