Description: On March 6, 2015, plaintiff was sitting in a parked car when defendant O'Hara approached him and began to question him. proceeded to search his person and his car. Defendant O’Hara explained that he was questioning Sankara because he was parked in front of a church, an assertion that Sankara contends was factually incorrect. Defendant O’Hara accused Sankara of possessing a stolen phone and proceeded to search plaintiff's car and wallet. Defendant O’Hara subsequently falsely testified before a grand jury that Sankara had a forged driver’s license. Plaintiff was ultimately indicted and convicted of the charges brought against him.

Description: On or about February 28, 2013, Plaintiff was a lawful patron within a retail store, shopping for a designer handbag while she was being monitored by Sergeant Erica Triebel, Officer Brian Kusterer, and two unnamed officers. Plaintiff purchased the designer bag and was physically accosted by the four officers at the subway station. Thereafter, Plaintiff was detained, questioned and interrogated by the officers against her will and without her consent or permission.
