Complaint
Description: On July 7, 2022, defendants approached plaintiff in a shelter and then assaulted and battered her. This assault and battery consisted of grabbing, pushing and slamming her to the floor. They pressed knees into her legs and arms and handcuffed her forcefully. The plaintiff was then taken to a precinct, where she was placed in a cell. Thereafter, she was transported to Central Booking where she was held until her release and charges were dismissed on July 8, 2022. Though the assault and battery, the plaintiff sustained severe and serious injuries in and about diverse parts of her person and suffered great pain, distress, mental shock, mental anguish and psychological trauma.
