Description: On March 30, 2021, the plaintiff was working at his business when an undercover NYPD officer entered the store trying to sell a phone. The officer refused to provide his identification, to which the plaintiff peacefully declined to purchase the device without ID. The officer then returned with another undercover NYPD officer and together they persisted about selling the phone to the plaintiff. After the plaintiff eventually agreed, he was arrested by uniformed NYPD officers under the accusation of possession of stolen property.
