Description: On October 9, 2010, the plaintiff was at a store when he observed two men arguing. When the plaintiff attempted to intervene to break up the fight, one of the men attempted to slash the plaintiff across his face with a knife, injuring the plaintiff on his left arm. When the plaintiff attempted to call the police, the assailant escaped and the plaintiff chased after him and was able to subdue the assailant and prevent him from escaping until the police arrived.
