Description: On July 5, 2023, Defendant Officer JeanCarlos Batista and others unlawfully detained Plaintiff in Bronx. Despite not being involved in any crime, Plaintiff was assaulted by officers, suffering injuries including abrasions to his body, a fractured ankle and eye trauma. Defendant Officer Batista falsely arrested Plaintiff, charging him with disorderly conduct, leading to malicious prosecution. The charges were later dismissed on July 21, 2023, in Plaintiff's favor.
