Description: On or about March 10, 2023, minor child L.W. was involved in an incident at the Flatbush Ave-Brooklyn College Subway station in Brooklyn. L.W. approached two NYPD officers, Melissa L. Stines and Jonathan Gomez, after being unable to proceed through the subway turnstile due to not having her student metro card. Officer Gomez told L.W. to proceed without paying. After L.W. boarded the train, Officer Stines demanded that she exit, but L.W. could not leave as the train doors closed. Plaintiff recently transferred schools and had not yet received her student metro card so she was unable to proceed onto the subway. Plaintiff approached Officers Melissa L.
