Description: On July 14, 2013, Plaintiffs Padin and Olmo were walking on the sidewalk. Defendant officers seized Plaintiff Padin, placed him in a chokehold, threw him to the ground and cuffed his arms tightly behind his back. Defendant officers roughly pushed Plaintiff Olmo against a wall and cuffed her arms tightly behind her back. Plaintiff Olmo suffered an asthma attack but was not treated. Plaintiff Padin suffered a seizure and was transported to the hospital for treatment, followed by transport to the 76th Precinct. Plaintiff Olmo was transported directly to the 76th Precinct. Plaintiff Olmo was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing government action and disorderly conduct, and spent 24 hours before she was ...
