Complaint
Description: On February 22, 2023, at a private residence in the Bronx, NYPD Officers, including Defendant Officer Siguencia, arrived at the apartment of Plaintiff Lenny Swinton's girlfriend, whereupon they violently beat upon the door until let in, at which point they arrested Plaintiff on the false basis that he had violated a protection order which in fact did not exist. During the car ride to the precinct, Defendants driving recklessly caused Plaintiff to slam his shoulder and head against the backseat window, causing an injury -- later diagnosed as whiplash injury syndrome -- that required medical attention. At the precinct, Plaintiff was told there was a warrant out for his arrest, but after being brought before a ju...
