Complaint
Description: On or about July 14, 2023, the plaintiff, while lawfully walking, was forcibly seized and detained by NYPD officers, including but not limited to Officers Carlos Sandoval and Peterson Simebadia, without probable cause or reasonable suspicion. The officers used excessive and unjustified force, slamming the plaintiff against a fence, handcuffing him, and discharging chemical spray at him. Additionally, they conducted a forcible and invasive search of the plaintiff without his consent, without a warrant, and without any legal justification. Subsequently, the plaintiff was maliciously proseccuted.

Description: On January 10, 2023, at around 3PM, Plaintiffs were traveling in a car that was stopped for no lawful reason by Carlos Sandoval and other officers, and the Plaintiffs were ordered to exit the car and the car was searched. Plaintiffs were then handcuffed and arrested. They were taken to the PSA 8 precidnt and subjected to a search and nothing illegal was recovered. After several hours, Plaintiffs were each released and issued desk apperance tickets.
