Description: On February 4, 2022, plaintiffs were touched, grabbed, handcuffed, seized and arrested by the defendants and accused of having committed a crime. Defendants took the plaintiffs to a precinct and had their fingerprints and photographs taken in accordance with police procedures for the arrest of criminals. The defendants held the plaintiffs on various criminal charges at various police stations, correctional facilities and at a courthouse in the Bronx. The defendants caused criminal complaints to be issued against the individual plaintiffs, which were later dismissed. Complaint
Description: On April 6, 2019, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of 2264 Grand Concourse, Bronx and was on his way to visit a friend when defendant police officers, without any probable cause or legal justification, stopped and put plaintiff under arrest with handcuffs. Plaintiff was not engaging in any illegal behavior or possessing marihuana. Plaintiff was then transported to the 46th precinct, where he was searched and detained. No illegal substance was found. Charges were then made against plaintiff but all were soon dismissed in plaintiff's favor. Due to the incident, plaintiff sustained physical and emotional trauma.
