Description: On November 27, 2019, plaintiff was present in the vicinity of 2945 West 23rd Street in Brooklyn, New York, when he was approached by defendant NYPD officers outside of his aunt's building. The defendants asked him "if he heard gunshots" and the plaintiff replied "no" because he did not. The officers entered the building and when they came out, they immediately grabbed the plaintiff from behind by the neck and tackled him to the ground causing him injuries. At no time did the plaintiff commit a crime. He was searched and no contraband was recovered. The District Attorney was provided false and misleading information. All the charges were dropped a couple months later in January.

Description: On May 8, 2016, at approximately 3:00 p.m., David Miles was lawfully at his residence at 2264 Bragg Street in Brooklyn when NYPD officers, including Officer David Yee, Sergeant Harold Gates, and Detective Savage, falsely accused him of harassing a neighbor and Nicki Minaj. The officers arrested Miles without probable cause, using excessive force, including handcuffing him. He was held for an extended period, during which false charges of harassment and menacing were pressed. Miles was forced to make multiple court appearances before the charges were dismissed following a favorable court decision on November 13, 2017.
