Description: On February 12, 2018, at approximately 12:00 pm, at the 25th precinct in New York, New York, Plaintiff Evelyn Mandry voluntarily surrendered herself to the precinct with her mother, who is the purported complainant. Ms. Mandry was arrested for grand larceny and identity theft. The police claim that Plaintiff used her mother's information to open up a line of credit, but those claims were false. Defendants (officer Jessica Riveracaicedo and John and Jane Doe 1-8) arrested Plaintiff Mandry and incarcerated her for approximately 25 hours, after which she lost her job. She could not find another job due to pending criminal charges and was thus evicted and forced to move to Virginia.

Description: On April 27, 2012, plaintiff was approached on the street by 3 officers and thrown against the window. Plaintiff was then searched without cause and was asked "where are the drugs." Plaintiff tried to explain to the officers that they had the wrong person, but was placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass. Plaintiff then spent 3 hours in a police van with others who were similarly arrested before he was taken to the precinct. All charges against Plaintiff were dismissed about a year later.
