Description: On May 26, 2020, Plaintiff was filming a police encounter, including the Individual Defendants’ marked NYPD vehicle nearly running over a civilian on a bike. In retaliation for filming, Plaintiff was chased down by the vehicle, and was detained and arrested by the Individual Defendants without probable cause. Defendants then transported Plaintiff to the 90th precinct, wherein the Defendants stole and vouchered Plaintiff’s cell phone as “arrest evidence” to cover up their own misconduct.
