Description: On July 17, 2019, NYPD officers, including Officer Peralta, forcibly entered the plaintiff's apartment at 60 Division Avenue, Brooklyn, without consent or justification. The officers allegedly obtained a warrant through fraudulent means. Once inside, they handcuffed the plaintiff, searched his apartment, and ridiculed him by placing a party hat on his head. During the search, they seized approximately $40,000 in cash from a locked safe, which was the plaintiff’s life savings. The officers damaged property during the search and falsely claimed to have found illegal drugs. Despite finding no contraband, the plaintiff was arrested and detained for 10 hours, after which a criminal case was initiated based on fabric...
