Summary

On May 23, 2014, [redacted] placed two calls to 911 alleging that someone pointed a gun at him in front of [redacted], in Brooklyn, and then ran into [redacted] waited in the lobby of the same building for the police to arrive. Between 15 and 40 uniformed officers arrived at the location. Some of the officers went to [redacted] and spoke to [redacted] ex-girlfriend, who informed them that she lived in that apartment and that [redacted] was not allowed in the building. Subsequently, [redacted] argued with some of the officers and during this argument, [redacted] alleged that Lt. Georgina Gonzalez, assigned to PSA 3, called him, "stupid," "dumb," an "idiot" (Allegation A) and a "black heathen mother" (Allegation B). [redacted] also spoke with Sgt. Jwann Layton, also assigned to PSA 3, and alleged that Sgt. Layton called him a "black mother fucker" (Allegation C). One of the officers then grabbed [redacted] by the front of his shirt and slammed him chest first against a wall and then slammed him to the ground (Allegation D). [redacted] son, was also at the scene, said that no one pointed a gun at [redacted] and [redacted] made the false police call merely to help [redacted] enter the apartment. [redacted] alleged that three officers slammed [redacted] front first against the mailboxes that hang on the wall in the lobby of the building and when the officers were unable to handcuff [redacted] they grabbed him by the arms and slammed him front first to the floor (Allegation D continued).
