Summary

On September 26, 2014 at 5:48 p.m., an unidentified store employee of the BP gas station located at 1379 Halsey Street in Brooklyn called 911 and reported that an individual identified by the investigation as [redacted] had attempted to make a purchase with counterfeit money. PO Tinina Alexander and PO Daniel Giannina of the 83rd Precinct responded to the incident location, and [redacted] fled on foot when the officers attempted to place him under arrest. PO Alexander and PO Giannina transmitted the direction of the foot pursuit and requested additional units.
An officer identified by the investigation as PO Andre Perez of the 83rd Precinct pursued [redacted] into the backyard of [redacted] the residence of [redacted] and his brother [redacted] (Allegation A).
Officers identified by the investigation as Sgt. Erek Powers and PO Ryan Galvin of the 81st Precinct interacted with [redacted] on the porch of [redacted]. PO Galvin allegedly cursed at [redacted] and [redacted] (Allegation B). PO Galvin allegedly grabbed [redacted] and threw him off of the porch and down the stairs (Allegation C), where he was handcuffed by an officer identified by the investigation as PO Mark Amundson of the 83rd Precinct.
