Summary

On February 27, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. (time established from NYPD Event D15022717984; encl. 01-03), at the Hoyt/Schermerhorn A/C/G subway station in Brooklyn, [redacted] was arrested with a top charge of assault (intent to cause physical injury to an officer) by officers of Transit District (TD) 30 (encl. J8-J12). The following was alleged: At the Hoyt/Schermerhorn A/C/G subway station, Lt. Michael Catusco stopped [redacted] and threatened his friend [redacted] with arrest (Allegations A and B). An officer used physical force and pepper spray against [redacted] (Allegations C and D). PO Lyndon Providence used a chokehold against [redacted] thereby restricting his breathing, and used physical force against him (Allegations E, F and G). At the TD 30 stationhouse, PO Providence used physical force against and spoke discourteously to [redacted] (Allegations H and I). PO Providence damaged [redacted]s property and threatened him with the use of force (Allegations J and K). Lt. Timothy Harrington threatened [redacted] with the use of force (Allegation L).
