Summary

On November 7, 2014, at approximately 7:15 AM, [redacted] was taking his daughter, [redacted] to school. As they were walking from their residence, located at [redacted] in the Bronx, to the Elder Avenue 6 Train station, they were approached by detectives from the Manhattan Robbery Squad, including Det. Michael McCready. [redacted] was arrested as the perpetrator in a robbery of an Amazon Kindle Fire tablet that occurred about a month prior. [redacted] requested that someone walk [redacted] to the Elder Avenue train station to meet [redacted] a woman who would take [redacted] to school. Det. McCready walked [redacted] to the Elder Avenue train station. At the Elder Avenue train station, Det. McCready searched [redacted]'s backpack for the stolen tablet (Allegation A). [redacted] was not present for the search, but was subsequently informed by his mother who had spoken with [redacted]. The Amazon Kindle Fire tablet was later recovered from [redacted]'s residence at [redacted] in the Bronx, upon execution of a search warrant. Read report for details.
