On March 19, 2016, at approximately 1:20 a.m., PO Carlos Pimentel, PO Gary Perez and PO Randys Figuereo, of PSA 6, responded to the subsequent radio run of an anonymous 911 call alleging that there was an individual with a gun in the lobby of [redacted], in Manhattan. Upon completing a vertical of [redacted], the officers crossed over to [redacted] which was accessible through a shared rooftop. After approximately ten minutes after arriving at the incident location, PO Pimentel stopped [redacted] in the staircase of [redacted], believing that he matched the description of the suspect of the 911 call (Allegation A). PO Pimentel asked [redacted] if he lived in the building and whether he had any weapons on him. [redacted] was angrily shouting at the officers and proceeded to push PO Figuereo, at which point PO Pimentel frisked him (Allegation B) and pulled out a knife from his right jacket pocket (Allegation C). [redacted] was arrested for [redacted], brought to the PSA 6 Stationhouse and released with a Desk Appearance Ticket. Read report for details.
