On June 21, 2017, at approximately 3:45 p.m., [redacted] saw two male officers, identifed by the investigation as PO Arnaud Polynice and PO Jonathan Martinez of the 88th Precinct, stop a young male individual, identifed by the investigation as [redacted] at the corner of Dean Street and 6th Avenue in Brooklyn, where PO Polynice then frisked him (Allegations A, B, and D). The investigation determined that a third officer, identified by the investigation as PO Matthew Lambert of the 88th Precinct, was with PO Polynice and PO Martinez when they initially approached [redacted] and participated in the stop (Allegation C).
[redacted] heard PO Polynice and PO Martinez yell to the crowd that gathered at the corner, "Shut the fuck up" (Allegations E and F).
[redacted] and PO Polynice had previously interacted during an incident on December 22, 2016. [redacted] filed a CCRB complaint about this incident (case [redacted] PO Polynice turned to [redacted] and said, "You went to fucking CCRB, bitch, and I still have my job" (Allegation G). [redacted] told PO Polynice to release [redacted] to which PO Polynice replied, "I have to do my fucking job. Go fuck yourself. That's why you got beat up" (Allegation H). When [redacted] objected this, PO Polynice said to him, "I will fuck you up. I will fuck you up. You will get hurt" (Allegation I). [redacted] heard PO Martinez call [redacted] "a pussy" (Allegation J). Before PO Polynice left the scene, he said to [redacted] once again, "You dumb bitch. You went to the CCRB" (Subsumed in Allegation G).
When PO Polynice and PO Martinez were leaving the scene, [redacted] saw a young male individual, identifed by the investigation as [redacted] hit the trunk of their vehicle with his hand. Almost immediately, approximately four or five officers, two of whom were identified by the investigation as PO Joseph Swicicki and PO Arie Benchetrit of the 78th Precinct, ran up to [redacted] PO Benchetrit punched [redacted] in his face, and then in conjunction with the other officers tackled him...
