Summary

On June 7, 2017, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Sergeant Thomas Demkiw and Police Officer Christina Moncion, both from the 52nd Precinct, responded to the sound of gunshots coming from St. James Park in the Bronx. Around this time, [redacted] who was walking in the vicinity of West 192nd Street and Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, heard gunshots and began to run. He saw Police Officer Moncion and Sergeant Demkiw in a vehicle near him, and Police Officer Moncion instructed him to stop, which he did not do and continued running (Allegation A- Abuse of Authority: Stop, [redacted] 1). Police Officer Moncion exited the vehicle and pursued him on foot.
