Summary

On March 25, 2017, at approximately 2:32 a.m., [redacted] was standing outside [redacted] in Brooklyn, with [redacted] and [redacted] waiting for a rideshare vehicle. [redacted] and [redacted] were holding opaque plastic cups at the time. PO Michael Caccavale and PO Carlos Zambrano of the 90th Precinct exited an unmarked police vehicle and approached [redacted] and aksed if they were drinking. PO Caccavale asked [redacted] for his ID. [redacted] stood between PO Caccavale and [redacted] and asked PO Caccavale who he was and for him to identify himself. [redacted] asked PO Caccavale to identify himself. PO Caccavale did not provide his name or shield and continued asking [redacted] for his ID (Allegations A and B: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). [redacted] asked PO Zambrano to identify himself and he did not respond (Allegation C: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). PO Caccavale attempted to reach around [redacted] multiple times to retrieve [redacted]'s ID. Each time, [redacted] moved in front of PO Caccavale to prevent him from retrieving [redacted]'s ID.
