Summary

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on August 26, 2018, [redacted] was walking home from a party when she noticed an unconscious woman lying on the street in front of [redacted] in Brooklyn. [redacted] approached the officers who were providing aid to the unconscious woman and began talking with other bystanders while holding a cup of wine she had taken from the party. An unidentified officer asked her who she was, and she responded that she lived at [redacted] and wanted to see if she knew the unconscious woman. The officer allegedly grabbed the cup of wine, threw it on the ground, and pushed her (Allegation A – Discourtesy – Action; [redacted]) (Allegation B – Force – Physical Force; [redacted]). The officer then told [redacted] to "shut the fuck up" (Allegation C – Discourtesy - Word; [redacted]) and raised his hand towards [redacted] face. She waved her hands towards his hands and he responded by allegedly slapping [redacted] with the back of his hand (within allegation B). Police Officer Samuel Sharman of the 79th Precinct approached [redacted] from behind, grabbed her by her left arm, took the two bags she was carrying off her shoulders, and tossed them towards the front door of her apartment building (Allegation D – Discourtesy – Action; [redacted]).
