On December 26, 2018, at approximately 5:00 p.m., [redacted] and [redacted] went to [redacted] in the Bronx to buy a stereo system. There, they met with a store employee who demonstrated one of the stereo systems that was for sale. Police Officer Mary Cunningham and Police Officer Roosvelt Monestime of the 44th Precinct entered the location and PO Cunningham told the employee, "Turn that fucking music off, I can't fucking hear myself think." (Allegation A: Discourtesy, [redacted]) PO Cunningham and [redacted] started to argue. PO Cunningham told [redacted] "You don't know shit about me, my father is Puerto Rican" (Allegation B: Discourtesy, [redacted]). Police Officer Uriel Lames threatened to use his taser against [redacted] (Allegation C: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). Police Officer Joseph Deramo threatened to arrest [redacted] (Allegation D: Abuse of Authority, exonerated). PO Deramo threatened to use his taser against [redacted] (Allegation E: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
