On March 20, 2021, at approximately 10:30 a.m., [redacted] went to Owens Funeral Home at 216 Malcolm X Blvd in Manhattan to dispute her mother's obituary. [redacted] was accompanied by her grandchildren; [redacted]-old [redacted], [redacted]-old [redacted], and 8-year-old [redacted] and entered into an argument with the funeral home owner, [redacted] who called the police on [redacted] also called her mother, [redacted] to the location and Officer Nicole Roark and Detective Kendrick Victoria, both of the 28th Precinct, responded to [redacted] 911 call. The officers called for an ambulance for [redacted] and notified their supervisor, supervisor Sergeant Melike Turk, who arrived at the location with Police Officer Katlyn Kang, both from the 28th Precinct.
